Boys & Girls Clubs
*Mission:* To enable all young people, especially those who need us most to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens.
For more than 73 years, Boys & Girls Clubs of North Alabama (BGCNAL) has been in the forefront of youth development by helping to strengthen communities. BGCNAL has actively sought to enrich the lives of boys and girls who have had difficulty being reached at other youth agencies. We are dedicated to ensure all youth have greater access to quality programs and services that will fulfill our mission.
Boys & Girls Clubs of North Alabama is the second transporter of children in the Metro Huntsville area. Transporting up to 600 Club members a day because bus transportation not available in their area.
Boys & Girls Clubs is the largest Boys & Girls Club organization in Alabama. Yearly, our 10 Clubs located in Madison and Limestone Counties, serve more than 7,000 boys and girls including those at risk who benefit from the programs, activities and services we provide. They benefit from trained, caring, professional staff and volunteers who help young people take control of their lives, envision productive futures and reach their goals.
There is no other organization available that provides a foundation where *GREAT FUTURES START.*
87% of the monies raised for our organization is used the run our Club programming. We offer a broad range of programs that are fun and age appropriate. Our six core programs are:
- Education and Career Development
- Character and Leadership Development
- Health and Life Skills;
- The Arts; and Sports,
- Fitness and Recreation.
- With the measurable outcomes focus on Academic Success, Good Character and Citizenship and Healthy Lifestyles.
